The Nature Center will enable us to provide more services to more students, families, clubs, religious, and environmental conservation organizations.
Small Footprint, Big Impact
The rooftop deck and small courtyard between the container structures will serve as additional outdoor learning and observation space. Both areas will include shade-sail coverings and utilize solar-powered lighting to enable evening experiences outside of the center.
Climate Controlled Leaning
In keeping with other facilities at The Forge: Lemont Quarries Adventure Park, the center will be built from repurposed shipping containers. The center will include lighting and air conditioning, and windows will ensure ample lighting while maintaining a constant connection to the outdoors.
Accessible by all
The nature center will include door and ramp systems to enable guests in wheelchairs and other mobility challenges to access the facility and participate in activities.
